The rod-shaped magnetorquer has an internal iron-cobalt core. Its optimized core material utilizes annealed alloy, ensuring reliable and precise momentum control.
The enameled copper winding maximizes the magnetic performance of the magnetorquer while minimizing its power consumption. This, along with its design for minimal power usage, is in complete alignment with the satellite power constraints.
With the built-in control electronics, all integration is streamlined with integrated electronic control. We have incorporated redundancy for heightened reliability, including diode-connected input supplies, dual copper windings, and driver electronics. The included adjustable mounting brackets are designed to accommodate various satellite bus features - ultimately simplifying installation.
In collaboration with Space Inventor, a known satellite manufacturer, Flux recognized the industry’s demand for an advanced and reliable magnetorquer rod.
